University Honda wins BOTH TopTech and TopAdviser awards

University Honda wins for TopTech and TopAdviser in Southern Oregon. In a spirited announcement ridden with 27 explanation points, American Honda Motor Co. has just announced that Kevin Rooper (pictured right) and Keith Erhardt (left) are the winners of Honda’s Southern Oregon zone competition. All Honda dealers south of McMinnville compete for these awards, including Salem, Albany and Eugene. Amazingly, winners in both categories are from University Honda in Corvallis, OR.

The TopTech award (top technician) was earned by longtime University Honda employee Kevin Rooper, for his ability to correctly diagnose all synchronized problems and electronic failures in the shortest amount of time. In addition to achieving TopTech, Kevin is a Honda master technician at University Honda with an impressive track record of diagnosis and quality repairs. The TopAdviser award for customer interaction, product knowledge, and cost effective solutions was given to Keith Erhardt. Keith is also a longtime employee with University Honda, and has been hailed by locals for decades. His expertise in Honda knowledge and customer care is second to none, and this award proves it.

So how good are Kevin and Keith really? Are they they best in the west? Best in the country? Only time will tell, as they are scheduled to compete with the winners of 11 other states on October. If they win that competition, it’s on to the nationals, held in January 2018. If you see them on you next visit to University Honda, be sure to congratulate them on their success and wish them luck at the regionals!

University Honda has master HONDA technicians which is very rare. I see people complain that they can't get their car into service immediately. YES, this is true at times. University Honda has taken alot of the Corvallis market, not just hondas, but other brands too. But it's worth it....just like when you wait in line for that burrito you saw on YELP. They have other AMAZING services like professional car details, dent removals, windshield replacements, Thule racks, and dog accessories for your car. I got all the dents taken out of my 2010 Honda element last week!

These guys saved my life this week. OK not literally, but their kindness and great service was exactly what I needed today. I've been getting service their things like brakes and oil changes for the last year or so. Today I brought my car in for what I thought was a bad alternator. They checked everything charge my battery inspected my brakes and left a mint on my dashboard. All of this for no charge! That's right people zero dollars for amazing service. I'm not saying you'll get your service for free but they were conscientious and checked up on everything and didn't charge me for it. They are friendly; they like my dog ; they remember me... just good neighborhood service with high-end dealership qualities.

I brought my van to University Honda after a battery store told me my battery cables needed replaced. I was quoted an amount for replacement of both cables and the battery. After they looked closer, they determined it was going to cost a little more due to some extra work. I ok'd the cost and gave the go-ahead. When they called to let me know my van was ready for me, I was informed that the amount was lower than even the initial quote had been. It turned out, the cables just needed a serious cleaning. So instead of going forward with the full replacement, they cleaned my cables and replaced my battery, and in the end, saved me several hundred dollars in repairs. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of the service department employees, as well as the understanding they showed in regards to my financial needs. I can't thank you enough.

Yesterday I brought home a brand new HR-V from University Honda. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff including owner Ron and his son Kirk. I was greeted immediately and showed many different lease options as requested. Jason was most friendly and spent a good amount of time patiently explaining the features of two different models we're interested in.
