Some might call it a miracle, we call it great engineering. “What’s your secret Sarah?” yells a curious on looker, as Sarah Swanberg and her vehicle are congratulated for reaching 500,000 miles! Smiling with success, Sarah leans out her driver’s side window and replies confidently, “I had all the service done on time…and from here!” (It paid off). This week Sarah’s speedomoter turned over the 500,000 mile mark!

Sarah purchased her Honda Civic Hatchback from University Honda in 1993. She’s been faithful to care for it ever since. “Every oil and filter change has been done, every maintenance service, timing belt, water pump, and two clutches!” she said. “The amazing thing is that my car has its original engine!” One of Sarah’s Service Advisors, Keith Eirhardt, concurs with her. “We’ve changed the clutch out, but the engine is in great shape and still going strong!” which is why Sarah has made a priority to have her car serviced on time.

Some reasons for keeping your vehicle services up to date are obvious. With regular scheduled maintenance one can expect the longevity in the engine, trouble free driving and savings in costly repairs. But did you know that by doing the recommended maintenances, your fuel economy will be greater, and you may have a higher resale value, should you choose that option down the road. Also, maintaining regular services can keep you in the parameters of any warranty you may have on your
vehicle.

Sarah, an experienced world traveler and the director of the Corvallis Community Art Center, is very expressive and creative and not afraid of a thing! She made sure we celebrated the moment by spoiling the service crew with a couple of six packs of a local brew!!! When asked what she will do next she said, “I’m going to Egypt!” (are you driving?)

Sarah, we at University Honda want to say that we appreciate you, and enjoy you. Thank you for letting us celebrate with you, on this unique, first of it’s kind, moment in University Honda history. We are so glad to have you as one of our customers! Many happy journeys to you as you continue to enjoy the roads ahead.
