Safety Town Partnership

Safety Town has long been a favorite event for the town of Corvallis. This year is no different! Children of all Elementary school ages as well as parents alike found themselves in front of large fire trucks sporting hoses of all sizes. This years 2010 Safety Town put on by the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis and sponsored by University Honda was a hit! “We think it is important to be involved locally in our community, and Safety Town is a program we believe is valuable!” explained Ron Theis, owner and President of University Honda. “I’ve been involved with Safety Town for a long time, even my children attended when they were young. I bet my son Kirk, who is our parts manager, can still remember the words to the Safety song!’

Safety Town is not just a place to have fun and squirt water from a hose. Kids learn the rules of the road, and what to do in an emergency situation, should one take place. “It’s an honor to get to be involved with such a great program as Safety Town…besides…these kids are our future customers!” adds Ron. University Honda enjoys continuing to be a part of Corvallis’ Safety Town experience. Thanks to all the dedicated people that make this event possible.
