Use Re-refined Motor Oil

University Honda now gives you the option to save the environment and reduce our dependency on foreign oil. We do this through a product called Universal ECO Ultra re-refined motor oil. Did you know that it takes 50 barrels of crude oil to make 25 gallons of typical 5W30 motor oil! But now with Universal ECO Ultra’s re-refined 5W30 Motor Oil, only one barrel of used/post consumer oil is used to make the same 25 gallons of motor oil. We as consumers already eat and drink from recycled plastic and aluminum. With today’s technology, we are able to recycle, restore and re-refine products like never before. Now, instead of worrying about how to dispose of used motor oil in a environmentally friendly way, we can just recycle and reuse the oil already in circulation.

What does it cost? The amount per vehicle model varies, but you’ll be pleased to know it’s within a few dollars of what you’re used to already spending. For some Hybrid models, you’ll actually save money.

Is it safe? Yes! Post-consumer oil goes through a hydro treating process to create re-refined base oil. The process is very similar to the refining process of normal oil, but doesn’t waste or demand new oil.

Does it work well on my car? Yes. In fact you can achieve the same level of performance from re-refined oil as you can from virgin oil. And ECO Ultra oils exceed OEM service requirements, so you car’s maintenance and warranty are protected.

What difference does this actually make? Well, based on API licensed standards for 5W30 motor oil and historical refinery output figures: One 5W30 oil change using 4 quarts of ECO Ultra motor oil would reduce foreign oil dependency by two barrels of crude!
